Taking young minds seriously

Academy Calendar & Extracurriculars

“For I go around doing nothing but persuading both young and old among you not to care for your body or your wealth in preference to or as strongly as for the best possible state of your soul, as I say to you: Wealth does not bring about virtue, but virtue makes wealth and everything else good for men . . . .”   Socrates

Summer Camps

We offer a variety of summer camps each year.  In the past, these camps have included a Junior Scholars Camp, music camp, theatre camp, tennis clinic, math camp, and science camp.  The camps are open to both VCA and non-VCA students and their siblings. Check back with us in the spring when we announce upcoming summer camps.

Interscholastic Sports and Extracurricular Activities

The Veritas tennis team and 3rd/4th grade basketball team participates in interscholastic competition with area schools.

In addition, Veritas students may participate in interscholastic competition with local schools.  The State of Ohio permits private school students to participate in public school sports and extracurricular activities not otherwise offered at the Academy.  The student is eligible to participate only in the Ohio school district in which they reside.  Veritas Classical Academy requires that students maintain a cumulative grade not lower than a C to participate in extracurricular activities and sports.  Interscholastic athletics are organized by and are under the jurisdiction of the Ohio High School Athletic Association.
