Taking young minds seriously

Miss Shiloh Morgenstern

Shiloh Morgenstern

Shiloh Morgenstern, known by her students as Miss Shiloh, is a born and raised member of the Mid-Ohio Valley community.  Miss Morgenstern has done many theater performances over the years, some of her favorites include Shakespeare’s Cleopatra in Antony and Cleopatra, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Measure for Measure, and Love’s Labour’s Lost among many others not Shakespeare related.  She is excited to bring her theatrical knowledge to the 1st/2nd grade classroom, as Shakespeare would say “All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players:.. And one man in his time plays many parts.” As You Like It Act II Scene IIV.

Miss Morgenstern has been teaching for the past 5 years and has been doing after school art and theater camps for over 20 years. She has a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Performance from Ohio University.  She is new to and excited about classical education, the dialog that it creates between students and great thinkers and the study of history and how it relates to the present.  She is looking forward to teaching our young learners about virtue through great literature and children’s stories, the arts, animal studies, and even gardening.  Ultimately, she hopes to  mentor her students to become compassionate, ingenious, and philosophical future leaders.

Shiloh’s passions include teaching (of course!), theater (Shakespeare is her favorite), and music.  Her hobbies include gardening, disc golf, and arts of all kinds.  She lives in Marietta with her dog and cat, and has a long time boyfriend that she grew up with in Williamstown, WV.
