Hello! My name is Amanda Watkins. I was born and raised here in the Mid-Ohio Valley. I graduated from Belpre High School where I met my husband. When we started our family we decided to stay in the area to be close to relatives and the community we loved. Our son, Christopher, currently attends Veritas and has since Kindergarten. I have worked at Veritas since 2019 in a variety of roles that I have enjoyed. But the role I have loved most is working with the younger grades specifically in reading. The moment a child decodes a word themselves for the first time their eyes light up in the most magical way. It’s an honor to be a part of the experience. In my free time, I enjoy reading, crocheting, and have recently started gardening. Some plants have fallen victim to my inexperience but I am improving daily. It’s been a wonderful experience and shows you never stop learning. But the love of my life is traveling. My husband and I have been blessed to be able to travel to places like Jamaica, Chichen Itza, and almost all of the states in the United States. With many more adventures planned. In whatever capacity I get to interact with your student/s please know I am humbled and excited. Thank you for entrusting us with your greatest blessing. I can’t wait to work with you both.
