Anita Henrichsen grew up surrounded by music, participating in family string ensembles and the advanced orchestras of the Albuquerque Youth Symphony program. She studied Elementary Music Education at Brigham Young University, including music theory and choral conducting. Her love for music has led to a side-interest in choral arranging and folksong collecting, as well as assembling random voicings of instruments for church musical numbers. In Columbus, Indiana she served as the children’s Sunday School music conductor at church and played violin in the Columbus (Indiana) Symphony Orchestra for six years. (And of course, she got pretty good at chasing down hesitant musicians at church.) As the string orchestra leader at Veritas Classical School, she revels in celebrating the power of world community found in folksongs.
