Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of the Veritas Classical Academy website at veritasmarietta.com (the “Site”), our online forms, and our text messaging program. By using the Site or our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About the Site

The Site provides information about Veritas Classical Academy (“Veritas,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including our academics, admissions, events, and ways to support the school. We work to keep it accurate, but information such as tuition, calendars, programs, and events can change without notice. Enrollment is governed by the school’s enrollment agreement and policies, not by these Terms.

2. Using the Site

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

• Submit false or misleading information, or submit information on behalf of someone else without permission
• Send spam or unsolicited messages through our forms
• Try to interfere with, damage, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems
• Copy or use Site content for commercial purposes without our written permission

   

Age requirement. The Site, our online forms, and our text messaging program are intended for parents, guardians, donors, and other adults. You must be at least 18 years old to submit a form or opt in to text messages. Children under 13 should not submit any personal information through the Site; information about a child should be provided by a parent or guardian.

3. Forms and Information You Submit

When you submit a form, request a tour, register for an event, or contact us, you agree that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to provide it. How we handle that information is described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Enrollment and Third-Party Services

Student applications and re-enrollment are completed through Gradelink, a third-party student information system. Your use of Gradelink is subject to Gradelink’s own terms and privacy policy. Submitting an inquiry or application does not guarantee admission.

5. Donations

Donations support the Veritas annual fund. Online donations are processed by a third-party payment processor. Information on the Site about tax credits or scholarship programs is provided for general information only and is not tax or legal advice; please consult your own tax advisor. Donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, please contact us within 30 days and we will review your request.

6. Events and Tickets

Event tickets purchased through our event box office are subject to the terms shown at the time of purchase. Ticket sales are generally final. If an event is canceled by Veritas, ticket holders will be offered a refund or an exchange for a future event. Event dates and details may change.

7. Text Messaging Program Terms

Program description. By opting in to text messages from Veritas Classical Academy (for example by checking a consent box on one of our forms), you agree to receive text messages from us. Informational messages may include replies to your inquiries, tour and appointment confirmations and reminders, enrollment updates, school event reminders, schedule changes, and closure notices. If you also opt in to marketing messages, you may receive announcements about open houses, enrollment, school events, and fundraising campaigns.

• Message and data rates may apply.
• To opt out, reply STOP to any message. You will receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent.

• Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of enrollment, donation, or any purchase.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Intellectual Property

The content on the Site, including text, photos, logos, and graphics, belongs to Veritas Classical Academy or is used with permission, and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. Any other use requires our written permission.

9. Links to Other Websites

The Site may link to websites we do not control, such as Gradelink, scholarship program websites, and social media. We are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.

10. Disclaimer

The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Site will always be available, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Veritas Classical Academy and its board, staff, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or our messaging services.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Veritas Classical Academy and its board, staff, and volunteers from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Site will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Washington County, Ohio.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
